Saved Cards and Payment Methods

Saving a card makes every future payment one click and keeps recurring items (like monthly hosting) from ever interrupting your campaign. Cards are stored securely by Stripe — PolitiFast never holds your card number.

Managing saved cards

Under Payment methods (in your account Settings, and per-campaign under the campaign's payment pages) you can:

• Add a card — it becomes available for one-click payment everywhere.
• Set a default — the card used when nothing else is chosen.
• Remove a card — it can no longer be charged; removed cards show when and why they were removed.

Choosing which card a campaign bills

Campaigns can each point at a specific saved card — useful when a consultant manages several races with separate committee cards. Set it from the campaign's Billing section.

What auto-charge covers

Your service agreement includes an authorization for recurring items — monthly hosting, for example — to bill your saved card on schedule per the agreement's terms. One-time work still goes through normal invoices you review and pay. If a recurring charge ever surprises you, open the matching invoice in Billing; every charge has one.

Bank transfer and other methods

Bank transfer (ACH) is available — and preferred — for larger payments like consulting retainers, since it avoids card surcharges entirely. Checks and wires can be arranged too; contact the team and we'll note it on the invoice.
