What You'll Need

Gather these items before you start to make the process smooth:

Committee legal details
Committee legal name and FEIN exactly as they appear on your FEC or state registration — mismatches stall carrier review.

Campaign website compliance pages
A published Privacy Policy page, a Terms & Conditions page, and an SMS consent disclaimer on your signup form. Sample documents are available in the setup wizard.

Opt-in screenshot

Campaign Verify token (if you have one)
Already registered with Campaign Verify? The token-only setup uses your existing token.

Contact list
Your voter or supporter list as a CSV, XLS, or XLSX file with phone numbers.

Enroll in texting
From your campaign's Services page, choose Set Up Texting and pick full setup ($140) or token-only ($45).

Complete the compliance wizard
Work through Get Started under Texting — website checks, committee details, and sample messages.

Wait out carrier review
Registration typically takes 3-7 days. We monitor it and reach out if anything needs your attention.

Upload your contact list
Drag and drop your list on the Messages page. We take it from there.

Build a message template
Write your text under Templates. Include your own opt-out language like Reply STOP to opt out.

Submit your first send
Use the Submit a Text wizard, send yourself free test texts, certify, and submit.

We review and release
Your team reviews every send and releases it on your schedule. Track progress on the send page.
