Sending a Mailer

Turning an approved design into mail — recipient lists, quantities, the per-piece rate, and the timeline to mailboxes.

Last updated 08/05/26

Once you have an approved mailer design, sending it is a short order flow: pick the design, tell us who gets it, confirm the price, pay, and we handle print and postage.

Starting the send

Two ways in, same flow:

  • Click Mail This Design on an approved design in your Design Inbox, or
  • Choose Send a Mailer from the Order Work hub and select the design there.

Your recipient list

Upload a CSV of names and mailing addresses. If you're working from a voter file, export the universe you want — or ask your strategist to help you cut it. A tight list of the right households beats a big list of everyone; every piece costs the same to mail whether or not the recipient could ever vote for you.

The per-piece rate

Mail pricing depends on the piece and the quantity, so the per-piece rate is confirmed on your invoice after design approval — before you pay. Nothing prints until you've seen the total and paid it. The invoice appears in your Billing section like any other.

Timeline to mailboxes

After payment your piece goes to print, then into the postal stream. Allow several business days for print plus standard mail delivery time, and more for large drops. For date-sensitive mail — early-voting reminders, election-week pieces — order with buffer; the postal service doesn't rush for anyone.

Tracking the order

Your send lives under My Orders with the standard pipeline: awaiting payment → paid → in queue → in production → fulfilled. If a status hasn't moved in a while and you're up against a date, email the team with the order name.
