Why Isn't My Invoice Payable Yet?

A Draft invoice with no Pay button means the team is still finalizing amounts — nothing is wrong.

Short answer: a Draft invoice (or one whose pay page says "not ready for payment yet") is still being finalized by the team. Nothing is wrong, and nothing is needed from you yet.

Why invoices start as drafts

Some work can't be priced until a step completes. The most common case is mail: the per-piece rate is confirmed after your design is approved, so the invoice exists as a draft until that number is locked in. Quoted work behaves the same way — the invoice firms up when the scope does.

What happens next

When the team finalizes it, the invoice flips to Pending / Awaiting payment, the Pay Now button appears, and you're notified (check your notification preferences under Settings if you're not seeing those emails).

When to nudge us

Drafts usually finalize within a couple of business days of the blocking step completing. If yours is older than that — or a scheduled send is waiting on it — email us with the invoice number and we'll close it out.

Lingering longer than expected?

If an invoice has sat in Draft for more than a couple of business days and you're waiting on it, email us with the invoice number.
