Campaign Websites: What's Included

What comes with a PolitiFast campaign website — custom design and build, hosting, donation integration, and the compliance pages your texting approval depends on.

Last updated 08/05/26

Your campaign website is usually the first place a voter, donor, or reporter goes to size you up. PolitiFast designs and builds it for you — one plan, one price structure, no tiers to compare and no page builder to wrestle with.

One plan, built by our team

There is exactly one website plan, and it includes everything a campaign site needs:

  • Custom design and build by the PolitiFast team — we design around your race, your photos, and your message, not a template
  • Mobile-responsive layout, because most voters will see your site on a phone
  • SSL security so the browser shows the padlock and donors trust the page
  • Donation integration so contributions flow to your donation processor without visitors leaving your site
  • Compliance pages — a Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and your "Paid for by" disclaimer
  • Hosting at $99 per month, with your first 30 days free

The build itself is priced by your PolitiFast team based on the scope of your race and content — you'll get a quote before anything is billed.

Your website is the gateway to texting

If you plan to text voters, your website matters for more than fundraising. The carriers will not approve a political campaign for mass texting until it has a live website with a published Privacy Policy page, a Terms and Conditions page, and an SMS consent disclaimer on its signup form. That requirement exists so voters can see exactly how their phone numbers will be used before they hand them over.

Every PolitiFast-built site ships with all three in place, which means your texting registration can start without a scramble. For the full walkthrough of those requirements, see The SMS Compliance Wizard in the Texting category.

Hosting and ongoing changes

The $99 monthly hosting fee keeps your site online and secure, SSL included, and your first 30 days are free. When you need content changed after launch — a new endorsement, an event, a photo swap — submit it through the update flow described in Requesting Website Updates; you'll see a quote before anything is charged. If you ever need to wind the site down, you can cancel any time after the first month with 30 days written notice.

What happens next

  1. You complete the website intake and upload your content — Preparing Your Website Content walks through exactly what we need.
  2. Your team designs and builds the site, then sends you a preview link to review.
  3. You approve, and the site goes live on your domain.

Plan on 2 to 3 weeks from the day your content is submitted to launch. The single biggest factor in that timeline is how quickly your bio, photos, and platform arrive — the build rarely waits on us.
