Finding your Campaign Verify token

How to locate the Campaign Verify (CV) token for an already-registered campaign.

Last updated 04/19/26

A Campaign Verify (CV) token is the credential carriers require for political SMS sending. If your committee has already completed Campaign Verify in a prior cycle, you can paste the existing token into the SMS registration form and skip the verification steps.

What a CV token looks like

A full CV token is a single string of six pipe-delimited fields. For example:

`cv|1.0|tcr|10dlc|9957c339-d46f-49b7-a399-2e6d5ebac66d|GQ3NMEjED8xSlaAgRXAXXBUNBT2AgL-LdQuPveFhEyy`

Copy the entire string — including the `cv|1.0|tcr|10dlc|` prefix.

Where to find it

  1. Go to campaignverify.org and sign in with the account that originally registered your committee.
  2. Open the verified committee record for the campaign.
  3. Locate the "Token" or "Credential" field on the committee profile page.
  4. Click the copy button (or select all text in the field) to copy the token.
  5. Return to PolitiFast and paste the token into the Campaign Verify Token field.

What if I don't have one yet

Leave the token field blank and pick "New campaign — I need Campaign Verify + carrier registration" in the registration status step. We'll guide you through the Campaign Verify process and handle carrier registration on your behalf.
